succeed has different meaning person to person...
in my case, succeed = happily together 'till death do us part...
I only had 1 LDR and it failed (only around 1,5 year)
sorry, I don't count holiday tickets (changing partners regularly included) and I have ignored 4-5 invitations...and back to start local dating again since last year...

There are thousands of partners who live on their own, some with children whose partners are posted to fight wars. Yes relationships can survive with distance and for long periods of time.

People grow apart from each other.
A long-distance relationship is when you don't get to see your partner too often and most of the time you're ALONE! A healthy relationship is when two people are sharing the bed every night.

I would like to believe this but honestly only the Gods can intervene with bringing together people. People are so messed up when carrying on LDR's They place conditions and terms or nothing
