My personal opinion that it is possible for some time, but if people don't start to live in the same city, it will collapse. And if we include cheating during that period, how long is it possible to be dedicated?

If two persons genuinely want to be together they will overcome the temporary difficulty of a long-distance relationship while they work towards being together full-time. Once there is love, commitment and the desire to be together anything is possible.

Yes it is possible, and some make it happen, Unfortunitely The shorter the distance, the better the results is My experience, and Different countries is even greater risk, Cost, and Immigration Laws, Lawyers is not my cup of tea anymore... I did try that....Not for Me!
I feel that It would be a far more Productive Result, if BOTH Contributed equally to the overall Costs, Then BOTH are showing total commitment, Not Just one being the Big Looser if it fails! Just My Opinion!

in principal i agree with you regarding shared costs relative to the income of each... but having said that..if one is counting beans in the beginning..what will they be counting later on?
