Been in a long distance relationship and it does work if both are committed...what I understand from the term "Long Distance Relationship" is that You are already in a committed relationship and now one of you needs to travel to a distant location...so what do you do? Break-up? Find someone else where you are presently living? But then does that not defeat the very definition of a relationship...that at least to me signifies a connection beyond purely physical...
I was in the Navy and sailed about 8 to 10 months a year...so for 15 years, we met only for 2 to 4 months, and often in broken periods...rarely she was able to travel into a port of call when my ship was there and we would have a few days together...but worked like a charm...distance makes the heart grow fonder, as they say!
It usually works for husband and wife. But for those who are still on boyfriend-girlfriend status, it usually fails. Options are more open when you are not married yet. For a long distance relationship, trust, loyalty and prayers will help to make the relationship strong. Goodluck...

I guess that attitude it's not going to help you here... I mean you are on a DATING SITE... makes sense to DATE right?
Anyways , not everybody that wants to meet you is a scammer...
Actually Im getting married to someone I met on here in ten days... so ... I guess he wasnt a scammer...

You are an inspiration and a beacon of hope to us all. I wish you all the happiness in the world. You deserve it for having the courage, faith and commitment to make it happen. I hope many more will find the same within themselves to make love happen for them.
norgeborg: My personal opinion that it is possible for some time, but if people don't start to live in the same city, it will collapse. And if we include cheating during that period, how long is it possible to be dedicated?
I so heartedly agree with what you posted.
I moved here to Ohio ,months after I met my guy.He wasn't able to move where I was living cause of his mothers health.
Also if there's no trust in a relationship regardless of where both live it's not a relationship either.

Emm...I am not supposed to gie you explanations about what I do or what I dont.
Second : Saying that EVERYBODY that wants to meet you is a scammer - as a generalization - is a bad attitude.
Actually i could ask : If everybody sucks here why are u still around ?
Not that I care , just Im saying to explain myself.

Who said, just because she is getting married, she cannot be on a dating site. Surely she likes this site,as she interacts with people in the Forums, Blogs and whatever else has the site to offer her.
