tinyfangs: Actually I think the time of the year was rather hijacked by Christianity as the Winter Solstice was celebrated close to it. I assume the Solstice knew great celebrations as it was a time of rising hope for humans with the days turning longer again, heading towards eventual summer and better living.

(geek over and out )

Please dont start a row over where christmas came from....see its already happening...
the row starts now....(bell rings out)ding, ding. End of round one.

Its ok, I would never do that to anyone. Christmas just seems like a good excuse for a punch up every year. Am staying home alone this year, its safer that way.

I had to patrol property in the past with big dog and walky talky to keep horses safe (that was still in Germany), although it was New Years eve, and that's by far worse than Christmas over there *cringes majorly*

I like the lights on Christmas, especially when there is snow, and the warm glow from the windows. Spent my childhood in skiing resorts during Christmasses, and that was always soooooo amazing, making snow angels and all ^^

I probably have some family due to come over, but my second house is not finished yet, so I might have to tell them next year as it is a bit of a struggle with a daughter in law who hates animals, and no way my cats or the dobes will be left in the cold, can't do that, would be unfair to them, tis their home here too :)
