I have learned from a life of relationships (was never without one, really, since I was 17, and only have been single by choice since April) that it is indeed important to choose wisely. I always chose following a certain pattern (nopes, not the nasty abusive type, but problem ladden individuals, in some cases real serious) and while it worked for them, it didn't work for me. I am tired of being stuck in relationships that just drain me empty, have to find someone I can give to but also get something I need back from, so be fussy! It is important to be fussy
