WittyandWise: Point one, I am merely messing about and having a joke in reply to Annie and in no way annoyed, I read what I want to read and ignore the rest. I never even read the comments or facts you speak of and don't intend to. I like to merely mess around on here.
Point two, I have never called you or anyone a IRA supporter or supporter of anything, its none of my business and everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Thought I posted this earlier, sorry Jamie, point two was for sofar it would seem, told yeh I don't read the threads laugh

Green_Sleeves: Eh, wow! I'm seriously impressed and I'll be honest, I have quite high standards and it takes a lot to impress me but I'm impressed!! That was just so......lovely!

I love listening to German and you're voice is great, jeez!! Felt like I was in some cabin in 19th century Black Forest or something.

I'll be having more of that!!

My voice is really bad now, can't reach high notes no more or hold notes long enough, and can't practice as I only need sing for a short while and I get sore throat crying but thank you for the sweet words regardless *big smile and a hug* and yieks - I don't really like the German language at all, other than for classical poetry and well.. obviously RAMMSTEIN giggle

You really can play the guitar, I never got the hang of it, just a very limited ability to pick, was too lazy to learn as I should have frustrated but loved the small track you posted. Would really like you to record some more, enjoyed that ^^

Man learns through experience, and the spiritual path is full of different kinds of experiences. He will encounter many difficulties and obstacles, and they are the very experiences he needs to encourage and complete the cleansing process.

{quote=sofarsogood74]16th of December is D day. Todays indo says we can all expect at leat 3 hours of blackout at peak times every night after that if this issue isn't resolved.
How ESB workers can expect the company to put the pension on its books I don't know. No company would do that. Their cost of borrowing would rise considerably making the cost of our leccy rise too!doh

Their pension pot rose 13% last year and it is expected to do the same this year but they are still not happy. They want the company / government to basically cover them for any eventuality that may happen in the future! In a recession! What planet are these people living on

At a guess I'd say the third rock from the sun. As for the 'indo' saying there will be black outs, chances are there wont. They'll (gov) will send in the army or reach an agreement.

As for the 13% the ESB are asking for, they know (as anyone who barters/haggles) you set your starting price high, knowing you'll have to drop a few %, and settle for the real figure they want.

This is my last word to you on this subject for two reasons. One, it's none of your business as you don't live here. And two, the comment I highlighted in red shows you haven't a clue what you're talking about.

They didn't negotiate a 13% rise in their pension pot! Like any pension it's invested for them and the investments yielded 13% thus raising the post by the same amount. 3 entities are involved in the pension since it was set decades ago. That is the company who looks after it, the employees and the employer. For the employees to expect just one of those entities (the employer) to take full responsibility for the pension fund in full is totally unreasonable and wouldn't happen in any company.

Now go back to eating your biscuits and lying about taking a sebatical from here!

I know how pension pots are set up. The ESB workers know 13% it OTT. They'll settle for half.

As for my next vist to Ireland, within the next week. Could be sooner. Between us I'm expecting a phone call anytime of the day or night to say, "Phoneix, your big sister died"... I'm hoping she hangs on until after xmas. I know she wont last much into the new year. FYI, she has a brain tumor and chemo etc was stopped several weeks ago because it wasn't doing any good. In fact if she had of kept up chemo, she'd have already been dead. The next time you open your mouth and try to poke fun etc at anyone, do yourself a favour and think again before hitting 'post reply'...You aren't always aware of all the facts.

I said I'll be a cross and contact you when. Sofar, you have no idea how 'pig headed' I am. I also reposted the same post twice on this thread and I see you haven't replied..Why wont you?

Why are you talking about 13%??? It's nothing to do with 13%! The pension yielded 13% last year. That means it is healthy but has nothing to do with the strike....They are not looking for 13% of anything. Did you even read my last post? Now go away you absolute muppet!laugh

They wont get the 13% they are asking/hoping/demanding or other. They will settle for around half of that. Watch this space.

Now in the same vein, why haven't you answered or replied to the two posts I made yesterday..

THEY ARE NOT ASKING FOR 13% OF ANYTHING!!!!1frustrated frustrated frustrated frustrated

Are you really that stupid!!!!!

They want the ESB to take the pension onto their books as a liability. They want the ESB to take sole responsibility for their pension fund. Thus leaving them sitting pretty and the company struggling to raise money on the markets at a viable rate. It has nothing to do with 13% of anything. That is why you should not be commenting as you don't even know what the strike is about! You don't understand the complexities of it so stop commenting as you're making yourself look even more stupid.roll eyes
