SoonerGal: NO I don't want to use that word!!!!! That's not what I'm saying...I'm just saying if it's ok for one, it should be ok for all, I would never, ever use that word...you are going to give me a heart attack LOL

Only my daughter gets to call me 'mum'.

Isn't that perfectly normal that in different situations we use different names to identify ourselves?

SoonerGal: Ok here's an example of how ridiculous it is, about 2 mths ago a rapper had a concert in Oklahoma City, well, the next morning the rappers bus get's pulled over for no tail lights...that's when the cops found dope on board...now here is where it went viral...all the African Americans were immediately calling it race profiling, saying if it had been a country and western band, they would have never got pulled over in the first place...it raised a big stink, almost started a riot....this is the nonsense I'm talking about SMH

hmmmm.....willie nelson comes to mind....laugh

rebel2: Quite right Bod...it comes under the P.A.C.E.act 1984. there are also numerous powers for an officer in uniform to stop and search under the Road Traffic Act. Warrants are only generally required to search for property ect sometime after the crime has occured.

Unless the vat man cometh!!!

Customs and excise don't need a warrant to enter and search the premises of anyone who they suspect are involved in vat fraud. Also I believe they can search the premises of any family, friend or associate of a vat registered person...uh oh

In response to: No such thing... most Countries brag that their Citizens have the freedom to say what they like... Total B.S, you can say anything, only if its "politically correct" or doesn't p.ss anyone off! Much like C.S.say something wrong here, and you either kicked off the site, banned or blocked.. So what does "Freedom of speech" actually mean?

Obstinance_Works: That's a class thing a bit like the self-labaled chav.

It doesn't make any difference whether you judge it as a class thing, its still somebody else's choice how they wish to be addressed in any given situation.

JeanKimberley: did this happen in UK or America? the laws are different and also in regards to traffic stops. I understand that it lawful to stop - the headlight was broken - the bus driver exited under lawful command of the police - the passengers of the vehicle were ordered lawfully to exit the bus too. Their refusal was what caused their bus being towed and then their arrest for the misdemeanor refusing to follow the lawful order of a police -

There are many civil rights cases about when, where and how the police may stop a person or vehicle - the broken tail-light was the "reason" the police give in this case.

Glad to hear it.

Stop and search
When can the police stop and search you

The police can stop and search any person, vehicle, and anything in or on the vehicle for certain items. However, before they stop and search they must have reasonable grounds for suspecting that they will find:

When the police stop and search you, they must provide you with the following information before the search can begin:

proof of their warrant card
information on police powers to stop and search
information on your rights
the police officer's name and police station
the reason for the search
what they think they might find when they search you.

Thanks Bodey, I'll take my time to read that.

Chris Rock is every bit playing into the system as anyone else and I don't see any movement forward there. Just the same old, same old.

He adds clarity to it for many... he says it as it really is, and shatters the whole world of those that want to continue some arrogant, self righteous grandstanding.

It's the same here, there is no need for search warrants, just a reason. And the reason can be formed as the following 'I have reason to believe you may have in your possession X, Y, and Z.' The Police Officer needs absolutely nothing else.

Tomorrow the debate could be about compulsory correctness.

People knows how to avoid certain words when it's not the moment.

We don't have mods in our daily life.
