No such thing... most Countries brag that their Citizens have the freedom to say what they like... Total B.S, you can say anything, only if its "politically correct" or doesn't p.ss anyone off! Much like C.S.say something wrong here, and you either kicked off the site, banned or blocked.. So what does "Freedom of speech" actually mean?

The art of political correctness is in proliferating as many rules and laws as possible and then applying them selectively against your opponents.
And freedom of speech has been damaged by this, both in the obvious sense of explicitly denying freedom of speech but also in a deeper cultural sense by making freedom of speech not a product of free thinking, but a contradiction of political correctness: They're not free, they are anti-pc(BIG difference). And this is why many strong proponents of freedom of speech today are themselves a very good argument against freedom of speech.

Total nonsense as usual from this source
Nations enact laws restricting hate speech because the alternative is to watch those who would set the world on fire - do so. Which is why we dont have Mullah Hook at the Finsbury Park Mosque ranting any more, and also why we dont have Oswald Mosley and his thugs playing the same game along Cable Street against different targets

Freedom of Speech really means you can say anything you want as long as you don't upset the system. or, to borrow a phrase that's often used 'Incite Hatred'. As for the internet, your Freedom of Speech is at the pleasure of the hosting server.

SoonerGal: You do know how to bite, don't you? I can relate 100% to what she's saying and it isn't because I'm a sheep, it's because I live probably in the most PC nation in the world. Here it doesn't matter what you mean or how you say it, there is no saying it the "proper" way...I dare you to come here and say your e.g.....you'll no doubt be the headline on FoxNews and CNN...trust me the black community would try and have you hung for that.
Freedom of speech in the United States is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and by many state constitutions and state and federal laws. The freedom of speech is not absolute; the Supreme Court of the United States has recognized several categories of speech that are excluded from the freedom, and it has recognized that governments may enact reasonable time, place, or manner restrictions on speech.
In other words there ain't no freedom of speech unless they say so

I believe that...Hoolet has no idea what it's like over here...if a black man robs a store, you best not be saying "black", it's African American... I could go on and on, but big brother is probably watching

Yup......got all my own teeth Friendliness, however, is a good beginning. Fear of your environment does not make for friendliness. I have no wish to move to the United States ty and I am very comfortable moving within different cultures. It´s the person who matters.

So, why do you have a problem with saying 'African American' if in your culture that's the polite and non-discrimatory thing to do?
