galrads: That's sad. In the ruby ridge case in Idaho, law enforcement without question, shot a young boy in the back as he was retreating, and he wasn't carrying anything to begin with that could harm others. Law enforcement later shot his mother in the back and she was only holding her 10 month old child. Others were also shot dead at ruby ridge by law enforcement. None we're threatening the law enforcement that murdered these people that I recall. Crazy world we live in.
..... The WACO rush to murder scene happened in front of everyone on TV. What a joke.
Some shots taken by LEO (law enforcement officers) were taken at around 200 yards. Even the shot that hit weaver in the back, and exiting one of his arm pits, was a distant shot. I think all weaver was doing when LEO shot him was opening a door to enter the room where he had placed his slain son.

RayfromUSA: Your stats are very low. If you want, we could send you a SWAT team to show you how its done. I think the Waco team is available.
yep,janet reno US atty.gen.n FBI,train police SS tactics,shoot 1st/blame them,watch 60 minutes,last sunday,on denver airport art,sad to become a police state.
You know,it is strange, when I left Switzerland i early '69,only the Statepolice and the Municipal Plainclothes-Detectives were carrying Arms! There were SWAT-Teams,but unless there was a special Case, they wouldn't even be called out! When I got back in '05,every Municipal Policeofficer was armed!
That's why I said that the Police everywhere is being militarized! Quite common these days that a Cop shoots first, then asks questions, instead of the other way around!

It's been that way forever in some places. I lived in Philadelphia when Rizzo was mayor. It was common for the cops to just shoot somebody who argued with them (usually the victims were black).
Rizzo bragged that as long as he was mayor nobody was going to touch his cops, no matter what they did.

Maybe you're on to something there. However, most non-swat regular duty and plane-clothe LEOs here may be armed, but they barely qualify to be allowed to carry a firearm on duty. Most of them just care about their pensions.
