Bloody Greeks always looking for a handout !! And if I'm not mistaken, giving you billions to maintain your infrastructure and tourist attractions is what got you into the mess you're in now.

Hand outs??? every panny, from the IMF,EU,or EU central back, would be paid back.-Maybe not the mess we are in,but according to the experts UK's more recession,is predicted.
to me, its simply out of time and totally fake, as we all know that sport is completely submerged by drugs and money traffics. such a waste should be suspended and shared with the populations which really need to be helped, the poorest of the planets.....so there would be less conflicts but, yeah, im a dreamer
britishcolumbian: Most of the cost of hosting the olympics is the cost of security. This is incredibly already costing 50 Billion so far. Which country can afford this? None can................
Is it worth it to keep these games going? What do you think:
This could be the beginning of the end of Putin and the rise of the Nationalists. WHat we need now is a major terrorist event to take place there and that'll really set the ball in motion.

Spot on. Better shared money, and building projects for the people, than building "White elephants" for Olympic Games, used only for a couple weeks.

50 billion in what currency? Anyway seems an exaggerated figure, had you been on the piste when you read about this?
tomcatwarne: The hard men in the British Army, train with football hooligans in hand to hand combat, they unofficially follow GB around the world, fighting.
Hooligans are not hard by any stretch of the imagination. Physically their underfed rearing leaves them stunted and skeletal strength is weak. The only thing about hooligans and criminal scum is their unwillingness to see consequence and a lack of respect for their own future. Which gives them that 'hard' appearance. If we all abandoned any fear of criminal records or incarceration, we could all be "hard" too.

Gives the lads a bit of exercise and training in bone crushing though-
Obstinance_Works: Give credit to the thugs, as we may need them one day. Who else but they will stand against the looming hordes of fast-breeders?
Remember, in Lord of the Rings when the men of the West were beseiged in the last citadel and the courage of all others had failed, it was the criminals that dwell in the mountain that saved the civilisation of man and drove the invading Orc hordes back to the east.
The racialist that was Tolkien was trying to tell us something.

AH yes sadly the modern urban analogy is more like #YOLO Baggins and the Fellowship of the Bling!

Tis always thus, in times of conflicts the psychos and misfits are out beloved heroes are our saviours but in peace they must once again take their place at the bottom of society. forgotten face less .
