54xmax: One of the most common excuses women use not to stick to their word. I mean, really. . . How childish is this statement. To me is is just one more way, to actually avoid any kind of decision, or commitment.

"A Woman has the right to change her mind."

Seriously, how can one then believe anything she says, not to mention, how can than one trust her that she will do what she says she will.

Oh, and this is not a thread to point fingers at men. We are discussing this cliche, allot of women use.

Controlling a little? I will point my finger where I will. lol

I have not heard that expression used as a generalization about women since watching 1940s & 1950s movies on TV as a child. I guess we are a bit ahead of that time here in the good old US of A. Here we would more likely say that "people" have a right to change their mind, and they do sometimes. We all deserve to be able to act in our best interests.

Whether we trust that person again probably will depend on why they change their mind. If there is a good reason, and it is not something they are known to do frivolously then it is a non issue. Only an uber controller would worry about it

it is important to be able to let go and allow others their decisions. The person may be unconcerned as to whether or not you trust them. You seem to assume that matters. It may not be about you....

Also on this side of the pond generalizations about the genders are frowned upon. laugh

We women change our minds? No we don't! Oh wait, yes we do. Yes, sometimes we do! Or, do we? Gee, sorry I keep changing my mind! laugh
