epirb: having trouble with doggys peeing on something . You will notice they always have a sniff first . Cover the post or tree with pepper and refresh after rain . My brother has a way to keep doggys of your lawn too , not keen to spread it as it should be patented .

Yeah cayenne pepper does the trick, I sprinkle it around after I've been digging in the garden and planting new things thumbs up

I agree with people having to be tested before they qualify to do a lot of work.

I have a Drivers License like many other people. Okay, my test was done in 1969. Unlike my 1st wife who got her license in 1972, I have been driving every year since. My daughter and I agree she should take taxis.

I also hold a Heavy Rigid Drivers License but I do believe I am not really suitable to drive that type of vehicle since I have not driven a real HR vehicle since I got that license.

But where it gets really stupid is that I have done a lot of work in the road safety area over the last 30 years, including authorising Traffic Management Plans. But unable to implement Traffic Management Plans let alone hold a Stop/Slow sign.

Actually I had a licence to drive a forklift it expired work didnt worry about telling me it had expired . I was under the impression once you got one you had it for life . Totally wrong impression /
Under the new rules that I just passed
1 I have 60 days to go to certain post offices or services SA (old motor regs) and get my picture taken pay 73 bucks and my photo licence will be sent to me
2 This photo licence lasts 5 years if i dont pay for the renewal I have to go back sit the two day test again

Now my company turned a blind eye until worksafe sa did an audit . They then asked me if i still wanted a licence . If I said no I'd lose a small amount of money a week i get for holding a forklift licence !
Rather than lose the money I did the test!
My co workers who were all retested at work last year or the year before are in for a shock . Next time it expires they will by law have to do the same 2 day course !! Or is that my employers will be shocked rolling on the floor laughing

I'm happy I passed if they dont pay I'll pay every five years . As the instructor said it doesnt matter if you dont drive a forklift again as long as you pay every five years it stays current ! Unless you stuff up and worksafe sa gets invovled

When I was working as a professional driver it was my sole responsibility including the cost to ensure all my licenses were valid and up to date ...

Even though I no longer drive for a living I still hold and have just renewed my bus drivers driver authority my working with children blue card and still keep my tow truck license valid ... I may never again use any of them, still we never know what tomorrow will bring ...

Because I will be at Uni full time next year my blue card will be handy when I have to work the two hundred compulsory hours that go with the bachelor of social science degree ... hopefully I'll get to work with some street kids ....

Your lucky Mickey that the company will pay for your license ... cool
