Tesla was i believe the most underated historical figure of this century. Someone on the website will believe Barny The Dinosaur was equally as valid......as stupidity is championed these days.

Ponds &Fleishman will go down as historical figures when "Cold Fusion" becomes part of our civilisation. M.I.T. will go down in history as a school that obstructed science in favour of financial funding to obscure scientific progress.

Innovators need to be championed, not morons in the media who are are launching a new shoe, or purfume line or phone.

Best of luck for your mother...she has you and your sister there, what more could a mother want!

I watch stuff like that youtube video with breaks by pausing it (like if its a mini series) if I can't watch it in one go

All that moping and cleaning you do Cinderella giggle ...its about time you looked up "Robotic Vacuum Cleaner"...they are a bit pricey although by reading the reviews (and watching youtube videos) there are better priced ones out there, that do the same as the more expensive ones, if not do a better job. Every home these days needs one in my opinion!

peachmelba: In English schools we learned about Cromwell being a great man to his country fellow,

I've learned Irish history and he came to these shores in Ireland in Wexford and slaughtered so many, other areas in Eire too,They bloody named a place here after him called cromwells fort,,it's apartments and houses,How mad is that,

Cromwell is a great example. In the UK what he actually did and damage he caused to the lives of the Irish will not be taught, never mind what the people of Ireland know.

It's the same in Scotland. They were slaughtered as well. Then Wales. And it's all glossed over.

How much does the average teenager or adult know about Captain Cook? They certainly aren't tought how he systematically murdered all the Aboriginals by pushing them over the cliffs. Men, women and children.

I suspect the surviving Aboriginis feel differnt about him.

And in modern times you have disinformation thrown out layers to obscure the truth. Look at 9/11 for example. Only an idiot believes the AmericanGovernments official story.

The public is unaware the ISI is funded by the CIA. There are unaware Mossad created and run Hamas. But slowly people are catching on!

I mean does anyone actually believe ISIL are not being trained equipped and directed by the west. I mean, some of the players such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia and other make public statements to that effect.

It's disgusting, the world over we are fed a pack of lies, and people all around the globe know a different version of history than we see on our televisions.

THE GREATEST RAID OF ALL

I'm aware of the raid. And it wasted the lives of men, for nothing of any military consequence.
His other great plans included sendind the British Expeditionary Force to be bombed in the Fjords of Norway.

The Locals even sent intelligence reports, which he ignored. The entire force was within 20 miles of the largest German airfield in Norway, with no air support.

This was stupidity of the highest level. The sinking of the Ark Royal was due to another idiot with a public schoolboy background. He however has the decency to be killed when the Sharnhorst opened fire from over the horizon.

Don't make the mistake revelling in the glorification of military acts. They are normally poorly concieved and executed to the best ability by the very brave individuals concerned.

Look at the bombing of the dams of Germany. No military consequence, killed god knows how many civillians and killed some of the best aircrew we had. Glorified nonsense.

My relatives, on in particular served with the SAS and he saw the consequence of war, up close. He was present at the liberation of a concentration camp. He saw no glory i can assure you, and when i knew him he no longer ate meat. If you are ever unlucky enough to see a real human body and smell it you will know why.

I grew up with uncles who fought on opposite sides, so i heard both sides, and it's a damn sight different from glorious jaunts of the type portrayed on television.
