Just don't park up at a site in a motorhome that is identical to the one but next to you, have a few (okay, several!) glasses of wine and finish the evening with a trip back from the shower block to the (perceived correct) motorhome.....
That was the earliest - and quickest - exit from the site the next morning...... OMG!!!
I'm very absent minded, so I'm constantly doing things that if others had to see me doing them they would be tempted to have me committed.
The times that I put shoes in the oven, keys in the fridge and other such absurdities are countless. But I surpassed myself the other day by going to the loo and being so distracted that I forgot to pull down my knickers before sitting down. Thank goodness I noticed what I was doing just in time.
2girlsnocup: Back at school, I woke up late one day due to my room mate being on holiday, so dashed into the classroom struggling to think fo an apology. As I went through the door, I started and muttered the word that haunted me for several terms..."Mum"Yep, I called my tutor, Mum by mistake.
I was never a morning person back then.
Well you saw your tutor so much that he/she became a part of your memory OR you were apologizing to your mom quite a bit

How did the tutor react to that?
Boarding school, so she was kind of a second Mum at the time. She had a lot of time for us all, and really put herself out to make us all feel comfortable and was used to it, and admitted she secretly liked it. Got back in touch with her about 10 years ago at a reunion and have been back to the school several times as a guest speaker. She's still going strong, and gets called Mum several times a year.

Shoes in the oven
So glad you figured out what you did before you preheated the oven for something

You scoundrel. I have a feeling you knew what you were doing. Good one P
Tru posted something that reminded me of the time my car was in a mall parking lot. I think I had done Christmas shopping and was tired. This was before the days of car remotes. I had my key in hand, put the key in the lock but it didn't work. The car looked was the same color and model like mine so I kept trying to unlock it. After looking at the license plate I went and got out of there fast before parking lot security came after me.
While riding my motorcycle in Montana heading towards Yellowstone National Park I seen a scenic spot(nobody there) and decided at the last second to stop there. So I hit the brakes and turned in to the gravel rest stop. Well the gravel was softer than I figured and the bike spit me off over the windshield. I ended up landing on all fours and running on all fours and not being able to slow down so I did a controlled slide and ran back to shut off the bike.
Back when I was married my wife had a conference to go to and I was to drop her off at the airport, I had done a double shift the day before and was totally shattered I collapsed into bed that night and slept for what seemed only a hour before the alarm went off, being as tired as I was I turned the alarm off and went back to sleep.
I awoke with a start 10 mins later and panicked, I quickly dressed, rushed into the bathroom threw some water on my face ran into the hallway grabbed my wifes bags threw them into the car and Bang! off to the airport.
It wasnt until I got to the terminal that I realised I had left her at home...

That is so nice... and I bet she likes it... being she seems to have been very kind...
Teacher asked me to take part with am honours debating team back when I was in school because. She said I had a good speaking voice and all I had to do was prepare the talk I was going to do and write it down,
When the time came to this competition I listening to the other girls how they gave a great argument on both sides,I was a bag of nerves and knew what I had prepared wasn't on par to theirs,
I was good at deliverng from reading etc but that was all.
I got up on the platform in front of the crowd ,with teachers. From the other school and pupils,
I just stood thete and forgot everything ,I couldn't speak ,I froze and nothing came out of my mouth,I wanted to run but I couldn't,
What seemed like forever ,I just remember everyone's eyes like they were burning into me and I ran off the stage,
.
I came back and read my piece from the page,I felt crap.
