Two nights ago my neighbour's extension caught fire. It's in ruins now, but he was so fortunate, the house was only smoked out, else it is still standing fine. The dogs woke him, they saved his life. Amazing creatures they are, we owe them so much.
7 puppies died, I am heartbroken about that, but I am minding the mother currently and one remaining pup. He is only 4 weeks old, a little Jack Russel, true little fighter he is. He growled at my neighbour before he could even open his eyes, and he has a strong bark that little fellow. I will keep him, he shall become a member of my pack here. Played with him just now, he is missing his siblings, but at least he has it warm and cosy next to the radiator. Hope he will pull through fine, but definitely watch yourself out there, those with solid fuel heating. Potbelly stove got it all on fire. Neighbour was asleep. Don't want to even think about what would have happened had the dogs not woken him.......

the laptop is back alive, bleeding yoke cost 75euro 2 fix...she is a old battler though

I don't think I've ever "liked" anything on FB, although I only log in once a year on average.
Popped in a few times lately though, just to let some people know I'm still alive....the rest can go on thinking I'm MIA in the forest or that a bear ate me.
