Finding a partner is not a big deal We see many link up-break up daily. Is finding/getting a partner who manage relationship to survive for life long toughest now a days or its just a matter of luck??

Most of the people looking for partner by hoping this time they will find perfect, they get one, time changes everything soon and they come on a same ground where they were. I see in past maximum people had one happy long life relationship what now a days people dont.
Is it because we are smarter then previous generations?laugh

Almost everything in society has become disposable including relationships. Methinks we're doomed. laugh

The world has changed dramatically. Many people are discovering that a relationship is secondary to other goals they may have. People are very often way too much work. Some feel that it is more than enough to manage their own affairs, let alone having to be concerned about someone else's. Both men and women, in this millennium, tend to be demanding. Those wishing to find genuine, easy-going mates who embrace a simpler philosophy are disappointed in this new "era". It is tough, as you say, because of many factors. Many people are searching for 'perfection' in others, which does not exist. Many want their desires and personality traits to be fully catered to, without having to do the same. The relationships of times past, as my grandparents, for example, succeeded because people had a better grip on what true caring and love really means. Today's world is so busy, so stressed; people get pissed off if they have to stop and think, or stop for a few seconds to accommodate another person. Too many just don't want to be friendly or kind anymore.

Yep, technology has catered to the public demand for easy, no effort living and somehow this becomes the mindset/expectation for all things and continues to evolve into a bigger monster than it is today. We're losing the human touch.

I agree. Social media, dating sites, & texting dramatically widen the realm of contacts in easy reach. For those who are lured into that realm in a serious way, I think it becomes a matter of believing that another, better boyfriend/girlfriend is just awaiting behind the next text or online profile. Plus nothing is sacred, it is much harder to be discreet online and keep people out of your private business (which can hurt a relationship).

So the old fashioned... meet someone at school or work, go steady, get engaged etc....to a lot of people that probably seems limiting when there are thousands of potentials online...just waiting...lol

Actually I think the "old way" is still going strong, and for many of us is still going to be the best bet for a variety of reasons. And, I think we will be seeing a lot of people going back to those older dating practices because the online thing really is not some miracle waiting to happen.doh laugh

you're welcome.. It's not that anything is wrong w/ meeting online. It can turn out great...and has, many times. But it is a new venue for many so we have to learn what the limits are. In my opinion it is just another tool that has to be used realistically.

You are right. Its good we can meet different people just sitting infront of computer at home but people must know the limit.
