redo416: you suspect your woman or man is cheating with someone you both know . but you not sure! one day he or she come to pick you up with that person sitting in the front seat when you get to the car that person stay in the front seat .what your next move?
If you are not 100 per cent sure of something then you are completely unsure. I do, however, believe in red flags. Why not say something, like, "I really can't sit in the back. Let's change seats". If there is nothing going on, that shouldn't be a problem, right?

If the passenger doesn't have the common sense to move into the back seat, I'd politely ask them to do so. If they don't move, I leave...simple. grin

You're a lot more patient and virtuous. Even if a little perturbed about the situation.

When I go to open the front, car door, and dude stays put while the "significant other?" says nothing, I have other ride options. I have no quarrels using them. Of course, I'd be kicking myself a little for not driving myself at this point. Which might still be an option depending on where and why I'm being picked up.

I wouldn't say anything except maybe, "talk to ya later, I'll get another ride". It should be natural to move, not a requirement for me to mention any thing.

Oh the image of how this would begin to play out...doh

You've got a point there about the significant other saying nothing. To be honest, I didn't even think about that so this changes things up a bit...I just walk away...take a cab, or transit or whatever. I know how it would play out in the aftermath and it ain't good. laugh wave

What I meant was that when you state (not ask..) to change seats, if you are an astute individual, you will immediately see by the instant reaction if your red flags are correct. (They will hesitate, look sullen, kind of like caught red handed. Do you know what I mean?) If nothing is going on, then the immediate response would be for the passenger to say, "Sure" at once, and quickly make the seat change.
