lindsyjones: I was in the gym and the show on television was all about man's injustice and destruction against one another.

I don't normally listen to this talk, so full of negative energy specially on such a beautiful early breaking of the dawn but can't help putting my "Stairway to Heaven" music on my Pandora just to give it a thought.

Question: when do you think others have done injustice to you and when we do to them?

Why is man more drawn to all these negative forces instead of let's say; love, kindness and generosity?

Thanks all for your participation.

I think it is to some degree cultural. What one person perceives as an injustice another may not. So what we consider is an injustice will vary. Things done accidentally or incidentally I do not consider an injustice.

IDK why people are drawn to these situations. i am not usually. Some may feel a need to "right wrongdoings" so it consumes a lot of their energy maybe?dunno

I imagine we have so many differences culturally, yes like in 80 percent of the world has no medical coverage, no welfare assistance to the poor, etc.

In more specific, when people are harmed they're silence instead of standing up to the truth.

In my presentation, I'm more concerned with universal injustice, though, regardless of culture, race, or religion.

I don't think there is a "good" reason to "spam" the threads the way they did last night. It was rude and very selfish. It had nothing to do with you. But one or both posted on many threads and jack was making a prediction that I agree with.

It is a part of us. If we weren't so brutally self regulating as a species we'd all be wiped out a million years ago.

Late last night, early morning, the forums were flooded with over 40 threads by an individual/individuals, thus burying everyone else's threads.

I took the opportunity to "bump" lighter threads (such as yours), to the top and posters began contributing on the variety of threads again.

The forums I bumped do not disappear and any individual who has an interest in those subjects could choose to continue posting on them.
I was introducing variety to the forums, the other individual was spamming the forums.

KB, welcome back, sorry about the mistake. My only concern is remember, RELIGION AND WHO WE ARE? I think it was deleted because of some off track posts on the 36th page.

I am so saddened because I know it was sabotaged. But the truth is, bit unfurled with a civil and diplomatic presentation on understanding the core of our global rift to come up with some solutions.

Then poof. That wasn't nice, MHO.

thanks KB.

I'm sorry that you had a thread removed. I most times stay clear of the religious threads due to the direction I know they usually take. Religion is one of the most heated topics in these forums and people do get removed, posts deleted, and threads removed when the Mods feel site rules have been broken.

I believe we have reached a point where the optimum capacity of being bad is way much easier than extending our hand to others. Much like we have become our own prisoner in our own way. Very individualistic and independent. Even to our own immediate family, it seems we no longer socialize or for that matter only remember them when we need them?

But culturally as you addressed, I know for a fact that people with their own limitations tend to be more generous in general. At least with my experience and exposure to my Filipino tradition and values. WE share everything kind of thing? It might be our last food from our granary but we don't hesitate to loan it to someone who has less than me.

Question: Does poverty make people glued together? I don't know. Although this doesn't mean a blanket statement, when I migrated here 35 years ago, how different then from now. But there it is, things change and sometimes not always for the better.

Thanks Lolette.cheers

I can see the sensitivity of this issue on almost everyone KB and that is the reason why I started it as non presumptuous . Just facts. I tried to steer it towards truly understanding the bottom of the pit to dig the root. A lot of so many people contributed how they feel and how it should be without being callous and unkind. Without being so brazen and judgmental. But no matter how we look at it, blame is an inherent result as to those heinous criminal acts associated with it.

It went up to 33 page with about 9,000 hit. Then bam.

But why do they even allow religion to be on here? Just to preach? frustrated frustrated

Hey. Now stop beating your head against the wall. That'll leave a nasty bruise. grin

One thing that you can be sure of, we have no control over what others' say or do. None.

Taking also into consideration the mass differences in cultures, beliefs, backgrounds, personalities, language nuances....people will simply not react or behave as we think they should. Ever.

Best to keep a sense of humor, remind ourselves that we really don't have any control over our own threads, and simply allow the ebb and flow of where the topics and conversations will go.

And if things become too frustrating, turn off the computer and go for a walk or take a break. You can be sure that when you return, you will still have no control over what anyone on here says or does because everyone is a unique individual with their own unique personality. Embrace that or....as I do...I steer clear of a few people.

Thanks KB, well noted. A true good word of wisdom..

Not in control no matter how we try. Sabotage, I feel is one tool that can literally collapse such a good intention. Well like you said.. I appreciate.

I remember another thread was deleted not too long ago...it is a shame that yours went poof...but there are plenty more topics that we can post/discuss and hopefully people in general can agree to disagree...nothing wrong with sharing your point of view and asking others what they think!!
