Nidifugous: A pre-emptive strike is no different from a Blitzkrieg attack. A lame excuse to start a war over rhetoric and posturing, but you have warmongers everywhere. The loudest are usually the ones who think they won't be involved or suffer the fallout of war.

I have heard the speeches by the PM of Iran that you refer to. People who are fluent in Farsi have pointed out that what was reported in the media was not properly translated. Even if it were, the PM has no authority to actually do anything. It's a lot of bla bla. I don't recall them ever threatening an attack, but perhaps you can enlighten me. Did you ever think that the people of Iran are afraid of Israel considering the nuclear arsenal that they're sitting on?
Interestingly enough, the Jewry of America was not as outraged as other people in other countries by Iran's PM when he spoke at Columbia . Why is that?
I don't think that there is anybody on the planet who objects to the Jews having their own country or living in peace. The gripe that people have is with the current government of Israel and its policies with regard to the Palestinians.
Do you remember Rabin? the PM who won the second election on the basis of creating peace. He was assassinated by a right-wing radical Amin who was opposed to peace. There hasn't been one PM since then who was an advocate of peace. That's noteworthy, imo.

oh yea , just years of misquoting a despotic leader hell bent on getting nuclear weapons . Silence of the rest of the leadership says a lot . If for one minute he said something the rest disagreed with he would have been dead meat . You excuse what he said by saying its a misunderstanding then you say he had no power to act , which load of crap is it , you can't have it both ways .
