ntd212 why do you think you don't have a girlfriend?

Are you taking real steps to date?

Are you being realistic in those attempts?

Would you date a female version of you?

Are you asking those women out?

Generally, when people very much want to date but aren't.

They really aren't trying, or are getting in their own way in some way.

If this were really all that hard, we'd already be extinct.

jac_the_gripper: 'Advice' is more about the person who tries to foist their ideas upon someone else, than the recipient.

It just takes more time, patience and skill to listen and support someone as they find their own path which is relevant to them.

Or it's about people wanting to help someone out. OP posted several threads like this last year, and it seems they did no good, as he's back again posting the same old crap.

Some people are so blind to their problems, that they will never realise they have one.

Track16: Your right that everyone has to find their own path, but sometimes it helps to put up a trail marker so that path is easier to find.

Assuming you're putting up the right trail marker for that particular person.

What if you get it wrong?

There is really only one of two paths he can take right now, either keep going as is, or to take a path to recovery. I been on both paths and I know where each path leads to. If you reread my post, you will notice I suggested to see a doctor and not much more than that.

I know where he is right now and I do know that going as is will not help him any.

Aww, you want to be treated like a special snowflake and hugged until it's all better?

Glossing over things never works. The problem is still there. OP needs to realise that desperation isn't a good trait in anyone. I simply reiterated what has been said to him many, many times before.

So, you suggest the alternative to berating someone is patronising them?

Both are belittling, unskilled, unproductive, unimaginitive and both are more to do with you than the OP.
