Thanks for your input Lad, I will definitely study this like going to a doctoral degree.

lindsyjones: Would he be a better option?

I just learned he has announced his candidacy under the GOP.

Any opinions?

Like many things he does, it is joke.

Sigh, I wish someone would resurrect Huey Long. Now there was a candidate.

Among many things, he's been an entertainer. And today he's tapped into Joe six-pack for sure and if he puts his own money into the POTUS race he could get the republican nomination. He's, justifiably, been strong bashing Washington DC and other career politician types.
This is very popular dialog, today, especially after a failure two-term congressman as POTUS. I'd like to see him and Hillary R Clinton in a debate.

Probably not bad to witness a real silly exchange of American drama. Would be most entertaining. wave

I don't think he's Presidential Material. Notwithstanding that, he gave a speech in Trump Tower and he echoed many thing that have gone wrong with the US in recent decades. That doesn't make him Presidential... hell many people on this forum have said similar. But.. he put it together very well. I just wondered did he use a Teleprompter. If he didn't. That makes him a better President than the current one in the White House, right now..

Below is the shortened version without the BS from Ivana before.

There is a commonly applicable old saying that it's no embarrassment to enter political office broke, but it only shows you're pretty stupid if you don't leave that office rich.

Trump is probably saying he doesn't need special interest monies to get elected and run the nation or to make him comfortable afterwards.

His business practices may sound valid on some commercialism and aggressive creation of an empire, yet to me, doesn't guarantee he can provide sound and successful political practices.

Thanks for the clip.

Meaning he is touting for power and show off more of his heavy pocket? Then would that mean he is a sound candidate for political leadership? His interest to tout more for gold to his coffer defeats most presidential ambitions for the lack of it?

Hi Lindsey,

I think Trumps current remarks on immigration were ugly and Fox news exploited the Frisco tragedy to play him up. While I lean toward Rubio, it has been well known that most Repub politicians have talked tough on immigration and turned a blind eye to the ludicrous lack of enforcement of the laws. Have your cake and eat it too. The American economy has benefited tremendously from dirt cheap immigrant labor in all sorts of harsh, menial labor in most industries, for almost thirty years! Legal and illegal. The hidden costs are a different matter.

Trumps big building project here in D.C. is being done mostly by immigrant workers, skilled and unskilled, legal and maybe illegal!!??

Anybody that sustains corruption on any established law John is not good in my books. I'm sure he's done quite a lot that can smear his name, but when we think of politics, public accountability matters more than just business in economic control. Military power controls the world of which everything depends on including but not limited on socio-political political services.

Trump invested heavily in the 80s in New York commercial RE when the city was bankrupt. Most of his money came from his inheritance of his parents land development concern. I would submit that without the floodgates of immigration being open, and the policy of non enforcement of illegal immigration, his investments would have gone belly up and he would be begging for handouts on 5th AVE. Reagans economic miracle was fueled in a critcal part by a flood of cheap labor across much of America.

And he's the sole beneficiary of it all.

I don't find him to be the response on what we need.

As he is quick to remind everyone, he has never actually declared bankruptcy himself. So let’s clear up any confusion there, right away, with some trademark Trump indignation.. wink
