lindsyjones: Would he be a better option?

I just learned he has announced his candidacy under the GOP.

Any opinions?

He's not Henry Ford, is he? I mean Ford made something that mattered and evolved an entire industry whereas Donald Trump is Capitalism's equivalent of one of those big turds that just won't flush.

In other words he's the perfect man to run America.

Ford is the type of Capitalist who arises in healthy, flourishing nations with inventions and whole new systems of management and organisation. This kind of Capitalism has a future. Trump is carving up the corpse/zero sum Capitalism. You've already lost once your entrepreneurs are men like Trump and the only reason you now sustain first-world living standards is because of foreigners and not Americans.

Election Day is November 8, 2016

Inauguration Day is January 20, 2017 when the new president is sworn in.

You have 582 days until Inauguration Day to deal with it

Come on now, be a big boy. The only way the campaign will take a back seat is if a world catastrophe happens and we don't want that.

I don't understand why this bothers you. This is just one thread about USA politics. Surley Shirley you can find another thread that you relate to comfort

Quite frankly Obs, it doesn't really bother me whether a businessman or hard core politician will run the government. What is important is what he brings in the table that count.

Makes me wonder why Bill Gates doesn't get in the ring?

But having said that, politics is a very dirty business. They make the world a bowl of ego and greed.

If you think about making it worst than it already is, perhaps he will definitely make it an easy road. To be worst than Obama, I couldn't think more of anyone who can do an easy job.

Right now, I am not favoring the war monger Bush and perhaps just not an easy choice for me other than Hilary.

CC made it clear, all will lie. No way around it,. But who will less likely to lie and move on to a progressive nation without being an induced welfare nation?

Paul Rand actually is my prime choice...bearing all his objective to Ayn Rand's capitalistic but unsocialistic philosophy.

All, no insults anymore. Like children with no adults around, we seem to do immature gestures to each other and it is not a good sign of good behaviour...I am guilty All. But I am trying to be finesse on here. lolconversing

Lindsy.
Why would I worry about Greece when I live in England & my parents were originally from Cyprus ? I will read up on the US elections because it will affect the rest of the world but when I do , it will be a constructive answer & not a bias one because the elections in the US seem more of a popularity vote rather than a politically motivated one.. I mean Donald Trump, who are we kidding?

Trump never has been nor will be a viable candidate and he knows it.

Announcing is just a way for him to get his name in people's mouths.
