I'd agree, and rules are for people with no imagination.

one can learn how to knit through practise or by reading book, hence gain knowledge on the subject. It takes imagination to use that knowledge to knit a bridge with rope. laugh

In a negative way

Rules, boundaries, laws, etc. create power structures, authority, and fear. These are what have led to the greatest wars and injustices of the 20th century.
Just my opinion...

The lawless are already in power, hence, have licence to do as they will.

People create their own group laws, boundaries and rules. We are social creatures. We don't need to be all part of one grouping in society where we create a universal set of laws, boundaries, and rules and shove these rules onto other people. What occurs in these types of universal societies is that the weak shove their nonsense beliefs on the strong...ireland

Einstein also supposedly said, "Learn the rules of the game well and then play better than everyone else".

Unfortunately, the belief that we need a universal set of laws and rules by which to live life will lead to disaster. Universal sets of laws are a subtle way of oppressing people, in many different forms...

Not oppressing people. Universal laws guarentee freedom and safety. You want oppression then all you have to do is let people make up the rules as they go along/do what they want, then you'll see oppression.

Where did you get such a naive view of human nature? havn't you read Lord Of The Flies?laugh

I agree with the part where universal sets of laws are a subtle way of
oppressing people, but i haven't heard a realistic alternative point of view yet, after all the real power lies with the people , in the voting into power sense

Good and bad exist whether there are man made laws or not.

I am not going to go out and murder somebody in cold blood whether there is a law against it or not.

Others will do exactly that, whether there is a law against it or not.
