Thankful for advice for a first date after ages (70)

After a long time I will have a date next weekend. We will meet at her place. I´m looking forward to meeting her so much that my mind disappears every day more and so I would be thankful for advice.
I got already a pep talk from a lovely person and advices from so nice people here for what I could wear and if I should bring a gift or not. Thank you for that! I will go in jeans and shirt
She ("my date") says she´s not romantic. But I know she has animals. Would you bring gifts for the animals like a bone or carrots or apples? I´m not joking, but I won´t be angry should I made you now laugh at me
I simply wouldn´t want to meet her empty-handed.

I wouldn't go with a carrot if I was you, she may get the wrong idea

hi it would,nt hurt ,to buy her animals a small treat...showing kindness towards animals...never harmed anybody....it will show your nice side,,,jmo.After a long time I will have a date next weekend. Dress smartly, but in your own style, so that you both feel, and look, comfortable.
A subtle , not overpowering, scent can also do wonders
Listen, and be interested, in what she has to say, as well as chatting yourself.
