jac_the_gripper: Okay, so how about answering why you think there is a disproportionate number of Muslim people in UK prisons as compared with the general population.

Tom answered you. Anyways, there are studies/researches into this too, try google.
jac_the_gripper: Okay, given you agree with Tom's post, why do you think there are more criminals in the UK who are Muslim?
You really need to do something about your reading skills. I am sure you think it is because they are poorer than the rest. Well, read what the research says.

I wasn't asking you for my opinion, I was asking you for your opinion.
Are you saying you think the disproportionate number of Muslim people in the UK prison population as compared with the general population is something to do with their socio-economic status?

I have given you the answer, but you do not want to see, I said I agree with Tom, and his answer was this:
Because there are more Muslim criminals.
If you want to find out about the reasons, read the studies about it.
p.s. You have not answered some of my questions in the Germany sympathizes with Syrians thread, so do not patronize me with your demands!
So why do think there is that skew and how does this relate to the thread topic?
Capricorn simply stated that she felt that the soldier would not be safe in prison. You asked why? She highlighted how Muslims are over-represented in prison as a ratio of general population. She then highlighted a source which put this ratio at 300%. You decided to highlight a "better source" to back up some motive you have for supporting your point of view. However, nothing in the article you highlighted related in any way to the ratio she highlighted. You mis-interpreted the data. Now you are talking about skews in distribution and causal factors and what not. I find that amazing when you couldn't read a simple statistic properly. As an aside, I feel this soldier done nothing wrong. I don't believe there can ever be honour in war and the idea of holding people to absolute morals in a war zone is nonsense. You ask people here "why it is they feel that Muslims are over-represented in British prisons?" You seem to be looking at socio-economic factors and what not. There must be a reason, you think. Fair enough. Yet when a soldier in a war zone kills someone, no matter what the circumstances, you fail to apply the same level of reasoning to that person. He is simply wrong. This is too much of a contradiction for me.

jac_the_gripper: At this point, I think it would be fair to say you lack the courage of your convictions.
And I've not looked at that other thread in quite some time. I've long since lost interest in reading and responding to the inhumanity therein.
However, humanity will eventually prevail. It is the stronger of the two, it always has been and always will be.
There are no demands. It just will be.
Like the others said for me because I was not here last night:
1. I stated my concern for his safety in prison.
2. You asked why this was relevant.
3. I corrected myself saying: In my country there are no military prisons, I forgot that other countries have them. I also cited the statistics on Muslim overrepresentation in your "civilian" prisons, to substantiate my concern of safety in the first place.
SO, the first instance of your lack or intentional lack of reading skills: I actually admitted my mistake!
I will not go into details of our following exchanges here, obviously most here have picked it up.
And you last lines about humanity.... - they just emphasize what someone else said: lack of consistency in logical thinking, while you look at the migration and Muslim related issues with one pair of eyes, you look at the other issues with another pair.
And no, it is not "humanity" to spend 10-100 times more money on the priviledged ones (mostly young, healthy men) that manage to come to Europe than on the ones sitting in the camps in Turkey and elsewhere.
No one is against helping those in need. Those who a) don't think Europe can host every poor(er) inhabitant of Africa and ME and who b) think that our first and foremost responsibility is to leave this beautiful part of the world with the same living conditions, if not better, to our children and their children have every right to think like that and they (we) have every right to be opposed to what is happening now. You are not entitled to the truth, you cannot demand that everyone thinks/acts the way you see fit. No, we are not the caliphate, yet. But it seems we will be in a decade or two.

I already explained why I mentioned surviving in prisons. Again: read what is written, don't just assume.
