I think Woodstock probably worked because there were so few massive outdoor festivals at the time, now they are a dime a dozen.
I think if everybody had a Woodstock in their heart, it would work even better.

Alas, sucks you cannot see the YT I post....
Maybe its time for the Rolling Stones to gather a bit of a crowd under the Eiffel Tower....I have held both rifle, drink, and joint in my hand during my lifetime...and I sure as hell wouldn't make the trip to Paris with a rifle to hear the Stones under the tower!

We need another Woodstock,...and since I was witness to the original, and if I remember correctly, it too spoke of peace and tolerance. It is FAR easier to pick up a gun, than it is to make the person pointing one at you lay it down. But realize, I am NO Pacifist! I can and will fight.
