Southwestcoast: Hey all!
I might not spend a lot of time here since I'm not a forum guy, but advices are always nice.
So, I got in contact with some people here and one person suggested we exchange gifts - only after like 2 quick emails. Isn't that somewhat weird?
Two quick emails and they want to exchange gifts? Yep, I'd say it's not only weird but they could very well be a scammer.
Should I have reasons to suspect there is something fishy going on?
Yeppers.
I'd like to think it's a nice gesture, but one might need to be cautious these days.
What do you think?

Err on the side of caution with this one...if you're the least bit suspicious as it appears you are by posting this thread, I suggest you use your own judgement. I just don't want to see you post another thread later on about how you've been taken for a fool.

Southwest there is nothing to further explain.
I can't see where or how I was judging you.
It is obvious to me you just don't get what some if not all posters are trying to tell you.
You also must be so rich as to waste a few dollars on what is most likely a scam.
I would suggest you do as another poster said and send them the mails you have received.

If I was pretending to be a Woman on the Internet, and after a
few " really nice " e mails, and I asked you for $15, I would
probably get it.
Then, that would activate my Griffsense, which would tell me that there is more there.
If I do this five times a day, to five different men, then I can
earn a living. When they wake up, I would move to five more.
