rohaan: Like sarcasm, disrespect can seem whimsical or funny at first, or even for a time, but in the final analysis, no one (not even sarcastic slobs or disrespectful women OR men), likes it. Negativity of any kind is exactly that, and eventually lands in the dust.
Good analogy. And in juxtaposition, misery loves company.

Some people can't get enough of it.

Disrespectful women, I could name one or two using the forum. Those that have to have control, have to be heard even when so glaringly wrong. Those with such a closed mind that even the sun would be black. When you take the right to be heard away, the right to be challenged, you loss the respect of not only your argument but of yourself!

I don't want to be revered and placated.

I like women that tell things as they are.

I don't need to be respected.

I respect myself, I don't need to import respect from others.

I'd rather be spoken to candidly by a woman that thinks I raise the sun each morning.

You could name 1 or 2 disrespectful women using the forum ?uh oh laugh We're all guilty and innocent of many of various beliefs. Perhaps some times each of us has eyes clouded by a wall,a wall of our own making, built up with negative judgments or ignorant comments, but the good part is that there's now and tomorrow to end with positive thought that can help me and others to see the world with new eyes...The way I see it is:if I was wrong 'yesterday' it's still always oportunity for a fresh start that I don't want to throw it away...and you could try that too without being judgmental.wine

It is quite possible, and many people actually find it easy and natural, to be forthright, candid, and able to "tell things as they are", while maintaining courtesy and respect. I don't believe anyone on this forum equates this with being "revered and placated". In fact, that is an entirely different subject, in this particular context. Being civil and courteous and respectful has nothing to do with placating or revering.

Really?

No one??

You sure that's not an irrational emotional exaggeration? laugh

Even thought this thread is about a guy that thinks it's "disrespectful"

of women with no interest in him, to not reply to his unsolicited advances.

You really can't detect his sense of entitlement to be revered and placated?...rolling on the floor laughing

coolguy321: Why women online are so arrogant and disrespectful. They either don't reply messages or scam people here. Their parents and society hasn't taught them good manners.

Coolguy, it's not only women who do this, I've sent out numerous emails to different guys and don't receive responses back either.

If there is no response from either male or female, "THEY ARE NOT INTERESTED"! Move on, it's no big deal everyone has their own preferences. So this happens to women also, don't take offense. JMO

Cheers!

I didn't read anything into his thread heading that he did not actually say. You missed the meaning, or chose to discard, what I replied. Just one curious item: in other threads of varying topics, you indicated that you valued respect, conduct, and good communication skills. Have your views about being polite and friendly changed? For a long time I had always looked at you with a measure of admiration, and am confused by what appears to be a cynical attitude now.

I do notice that no one has placated this thread as of yet.

Respect is both deserved and earned in different measures. It is not disrespectful to ignore an email that one did not ask for. There is no guarantee of a response written into the sign up agreementlaugh

The OP simply shows a bit of social immaturity really. It makes me wonder how practiced he is socially with females IRL dunno
