This thread was prompted by a clip i saw on the internet, last night, which brought me back to a few years ago when i was in Madrid.
It was Bull fighting season, and i saw a bull fight on TV, I wasn't prepared for the finish, where the matador put the knife/sword ??? Into the brain of the bull, which made me feel so sick. It was considered a great honor for the Matador to do this, i will never forget his face,he stood so proud ,with his chest stuck out, commentator saying that his family would be so proud of him.
On the human side, we see things on TV every day of mans inhumanity to man, bombing, and killing of innocents.
On a different scale, we have people needlessly hurting others every day ,,what is it in humans that find this need to hurt. If we all strive in our own lives to be kinder to others, what a difference it would make,, simplistic you might think, but as much effort goes into being nasty ,,,,surely!! Do you get a feeling of pride when you block someone on here, think about that for a moment!!
Me, I could not watch a bullfight, I would get sick.
Did you know that the horses have their vocal cords cut so that they can't scream when gored by the bulls? Because the cry of a horse may upset the sensibilities of people. Give me strength...

I don't think it is a need to hurt another in the majority of cases, many factors, reasons, including how both the one that was hurt and the one that caused the hurt perceive it. Have we not all been hurt or hurt another unintentionally or in reaction to something.
Bombings and killings of others is a whole different thing and not what I am referring to above.
Though its rare, I have blocked before, but only when pushed to it, it is never done with a sense of pride, it is done for a reason and a last resort.

Everyone sees so much cruelty and misery every day in the media and I think most people ignore it or shove it aside if it doesn't affect them.
Some people don't even have any compassion if something doesn't affect them directly.
Not sure what blocking someone has to do with it, anyone not showing any decent behaviour did get blocked by me. I have incoming mail blocked for a long time now.

Are you saying so that there are no such people ,that don't get a buzz out of hurting others???

I answered the post in relation to what I found important in your opening post as in cruelty to people and animals.
I don't see blocking someone on a dating website as cruel. You have complained about the behaviour of guys on here several times (not criticising you there!) and even though some people on here are ok, a lot aren't. I wouldn't let it get to me if someone blocked me on here and I didn't waste any sleep when blocking someone as I always had a reason to block, and getting satisfaction out of it wasn't one of them.
mollybaby: Matadores are top celebrities in Spain.
