well he didn't really run to Russia to remain free so much as he went there because he knew the Russians would probably not extradite, plus he had to go where they would take him. No doubt he was questioned. But our gov't will never find out what he actually told them as long as they continue to remain hostile to him....dunno

He really is not "free" in Russia. He compromised his freedom in going there.

Bogart_1960: People like Snowden are necessary. We need to know what governments (we elect) does and is doing. The truth only hurts when we forget about human behavior… history is full of facts.

full pardon.

If we can pardon the COs & Draft Dodgers that went to Canada during Vietnam.....dunno

I think Snowden should have to serve some sort of consequences, complete limits on his access to secure info, and regular security briefings plus FULL disclosure of what he revealed to other governments where he lived. Telling the truth is not treason. But he can't expect the government here to trust him. I am not sure why he would want to return here?

free compared to living in a ten x 15 cell . A lot of Russians living there would consider themselves free to .

yes it is everybody duty to do whats right in the public interest. Our politicians are certainly not often doing that.

Take current events in Syria both Prime Ministers Turnbull and Key stated that they were adopting a middle way path with the Syrian conflict and yesterday Australia is bombing democratically elected troops of Syrian government. Claiming they didn't know who they were bombing near a airport in a war that Australia supported US Bush to create destabilization in the middle east the cause, and effect leading to not only worldwide terrorism but also ever more lairs talking crap in Canberra.

As Australian aircraft were among a number of international aircraft taking part in the Coalition operation that is known to have killed 62 soldiers and injuring about 100 more. The strikes near the Deir Ezzor airport killed Syrian army soldiers

Obama trying to look tough with some routine bombing of Arabs , e's hoping some of the toughness brushes off on Clinton ,ha fat chance . Meanwhile his local bombing is being painted any thing but terrorism for much the same reasons , the big one that matters above all else , getting Clinton elected .

yes maybe but usa has had a loan of Turnbull doing whatever they think they are doing. Turnbull is giving speech in the UN today (I think) that they were bombing in Syria at all (not talking about Iraq) bombing in Syria after both Key and Turnbull declared middle way path, in other words sitting in the middle rather than taking sides in Syria because the conflict has nothing to do with Australia what so ever. If feeds terroists Australian shouldn't engage in anyway the crimal clowns.
They have now drawn China into that conflict eventually if that sought of craziness continues then she'll be all on, you might as well dig your guns up mate

SEOUL: The largest shareholder of Hanjin Shipping Ltd agreed on Wednesday to lend 60 billion won ($53.96 million) to help unload cargo that has been stranded since the world’s seventh-largest container carrier collapsed late last month.

A rehabilitation plan for Hanjin is “realistically impossible” if top priority debt such as backlogged charter fees exceed 1 trillion won, the Seoul Central District Court said, the Yonhap News Agency reported on Wednesday.

East coast fruit and vegetable growers Australia are grappling with the fallout from the bankruptcy of Hanjin Shipping.

The Korean company has an estimated 40-plus vessels around the world carrying cargo estimated at $US14 billion that they have not been unable to unload.

KarloradoFL: He's probably helping the Russians hack into our governments websites as I write.

Nonsense!.. roll eyes

National Security Agency whistleblower Edward Snowden took to Twitter on Monday to comment on the recent hack into Democratic National Committee email inboxes, which resulted in WikiLeaks publishing 20,000 emails last week.

If Russia hacked the #DNC, they should be condemned for it. But during the #Sony hack, the FBI presented evidence.
— Edward Snowden (@Snowden) July 25, 2016

Even if the attackers try to obfuscate origin, #XKEYSCORE makes following exfiltrated data easy. I did this personally against Chinese ops.
— Edward Snowden (@Snowden) July 25, 2016

The aversion to sharing #NSA evidence is fear of revealing "sources and methods" of intel collection, but #XKEYSCORE is now publicly known.
— Edward Snowden (@Snowden) July 25, 2016

To summarize: the US Intel Community should modernize their position on disclosure. Defensive capabilities should be aggressively public.
