The death of a real hero leaves feelings of grief and pride it's difficult to express both emotions at once. It'll change your life forever and in this way they never really leave you.

see it not in death, dark shadows and twisted sheets,
but alive with laughter and hope, a dirty joke.
Think not of my last year pain and certain end,
but of those that came before.

Do not mourn a death you curse, nor shed tears for what is gone.
Celebrate my life, remember me.
