Dr. Phil does the same thing an attorney does. He asks a question with the power of persuasion. When an attorney does this in a courtroom the opposing attorney will object by saying to the judge "leading the witness your honor" and most of the time the judge will agree.
He wants his audience to think that he is a savior. I saw this when he had on his show the girl that was kidnapped and chained in a shed for a long time.
Dr. Pill doesn't have the answer.
