rizlared: Weather disasters happen, it is part of earth's cycle, who cared about the storm that just hit south east China? 30 people have died in the province where I live, huge destruction of both farmland and property. Nothing in western media.
So yes I am saddened by the deaths in Texas, but have more concern for those around me.

In the spanish media I've seen news about China and typhoon Hato. I don't know in other countries.

Scientists say the effects of Hurricane Harvey were worsened by a lethal confluence of meteorological events: warm water in the Gulf of Mexico that intensified the rainfall, and a lack of winds in the upper atmosphere that could have steered Harvey away from land.

about ginning up cyclones/hurricanes/tornadoes.

accuweather had been predicting for 3 days on
their hour by hour forecast and than was suddenly
changed at 5PM friday, suspicious i tells ya.
