I was on the coast yesterday at sundown and saw the highest tide I've yet seen there.
I was, and am a little apprehensive about conditions and how they might escalate. I can't begin to imagine how terrifying it must be in the midst of the hurricanes.

For a day or two even the air in northern virginia has been remarkably fresh and crisp. I hope Irma never reaches anything close to Cat 4 or 5 again.

Unreal! We're lucky not to have such hurricanes or earthquakes.
Storms have got bigger though and floods.
