Awful scenes, utterly savage; typical for Spanish blood. God knows how they ever got an armada together.

Perhaps the policemen won't agree. They are being harassed in many places of Catalonia and some shout "Let us be allowed to act".

At this moment what the outcome is no matter but the sheer brutality of so called law and order and then the King does not condem very mad

I saw hotels telling Spanish Police to get out, so the brutality was more than the money. How could a normal human being hit civillians so with rubber bullets truncheons, i saw one women being dragged by her hair
Disgusting in so call civalised society.

Duromojon: is called Spain colonialism

So what happens next?
Just as Madrid will not recognise the results of a referendum both it and the courts have declared illegal, so it will not recognise an independence declaration. The Spanish prime minister, Mariano Rajoy, still has the option of tackling the independence challenge by invoking article 155 of the Spanish constitution.

The article, which has never been used, allows the Spanish government to step in and take control of an autonomous region if it “does not fulfil the obligations imposed upon it by the constitution or other laws, or acts in a way that is seriously prejudicial to the general interest of Spain”.
