But, Frisky, if you're asking what people would do IF they wee president, and then you say that THAT means "president" of THEIR country, you've got a BIG problem! MOST countries DON'T HAVE "presidents"! So, by asking what they'd DO, IF they were president, you're creating some CONFUSION about what it is, you're asking them. For those people that DO live in countries that have presidents, then THEY may understand what you're asking them, as "What would THEY do, IF they were president of THEIR country?" But, for those that DON'T live in countries with presidents (and even MAY THAT DO live in countries WITH presidents) MAY understand your question to mean "What would THEY DO, IF they wee president of the United States? Because the United States president IS the most well known, AND "powerful" president, in current existence. And OTHERS MIGHT perceive what you're asking, as "What would YOU DO, IF you were the CEO of your country. (Which is what "I" BELIEVE was your INTENT, with your question! But THAT only PROVES my point! That your question IS "open to interpretation". NOT "clear".) Your saying "Silly man" makes it CLEAR that YOU don't perceive the ambiguity of your question. Now, I CAN hear you thinking "You KNOW what I mean, silly man!" But THAT IS just the point, Frisky! I DON'T "know" what you MEAN! I can only GUESS at your meaning! And the ONLY EVIDENCE I HAVE, to guide my guess, are the words and phrasing YOU use! But, as I've TRIED to show you, your words/phrasing are NOT clear guides, to your meaning.
I'm NOT implying that your question is a bad one, Frisky! But only trying to be of assistance to you, in your future endeavors, by illustrating the "difficulties" inherent in your proposition(s). I KNOW I don't say things well, or clearly. But I'm trying/doing the best I can. And I'm NOT being "contradictory" (at ALL), for the sake of causing problems or being provocative or ridiculing, as most of the people here seem to think. I'm REALLY NOT! For the most part, I ONLY wish to improve our ability to think and communicate, both collectively, AND individually, effectively.
So, NOW that I've said my piece, let me get off my soapbox, and wish you well! Go girl! Go!
Dedovix: seems i could use a few vice presidents... just to have someone to blame when things go wrong...and things will go wrong
Most surely, D! They will! I don't know about Serbia, but here (In the U.S.) we have a saying, called "Murphy's Law" (It was named for the basketball player that first enunciated it, Calvin Murphy) It goes like this.
"IF something CAN go wrong, it WILL go wrong! And USUALLY, at the WORST POSSIBLE moment!"
mollybaby: I wasn't made leader of the world (197 countries I believe - counting the Vatican and Palestine), just my own country.
Start small, dream big.
NO problem, with B-I-G dreams, Molly baby! You KEEP ON dreaming! It's IN our dreams, that "progress" begins!
As to countries, 206 (according to Wikipedia). I just looked it up (for a different comment/post)
But I DON'T believe you're the leader of EITHER your own country, or the world! The ONLY thing most of us "lead" is ourselves. And a GREAT MANY of us don't eve do THAT, well.

Not meaning to cut across you, but that ' Law' was there prior to him. It was definitely being used in the 1950s when he was only a young child

That VERY WELL could BE, Molly! I DON'T know everything! But I DO KNOW that it's called "Murphy's Law", here, in the U.S.! And that it's called that BECAUSE Mr. Murphy was the source of it's NATIONAL recognition/popularization.
