Greta's parent's are probably scaring the crap out of her daily, for her to feel so passionately about global warming ( leftist's climate change) when she should be thinking about dances, going steady and the latest pop tunes.
Here is some light reading.. for me.. this topic has been talked to death on multiple sites.. So I would only be repeating myself. And no one will change anyone's mind. They either research it or believe the tele-e-vision.
I feel sorry for the kid, looks like she is throwing a tantrum each time she opens her mouth.
Adults sitting watching a kid stamp her feet and shout at them what is the world coming too.
We have had leaders from many countries sitting debating on what to do about the effects of the climate changing. Learned folk who know the ins and outs of it all and the costs to each country to make changes.
What is never in the news the amount of changes taking place quietly in the background.
Trees being planted, green energy going between countries, better insulated housing, electric cars buses.
So I do not need to watch a kid spouting, nor watch the green brigade snarl up London with their tents, its like the hippie movement all over again. If they feel so strongly go plant some trees, go pick up rubbish, go dredge the rivers, walk along the beach picking up plastic. So much they could do. I saw a few of them on the news and they were passing a ciggie around to each other. Well that helps the climate doesn't it
I'm not a fan but I see nothing in ridiculing a 16 year old....
she put herself in that position! However,it would give me great pleasure to slap her parents and the other Handlers around some, but she, herself comes across more and more the Brat she is!
A new scientific study could bust wide open deeply flawed fundamental assumptions underlying controversial climate legislation and initiatives such as the Green New Deal, namely, the degree to which 'climate change' is driven by natural phenomena vs. man-made issues measured as carbon footprint. Scientists in Finland found "practically no anthropogenic climate change" after a series of studies. “During the last hundred years the temperature increased about 0.1°C because of carbon dioxide. The human contribution was about 0.01°C”, the Finnish researchers bluntly state in one among a series of papers.
This has been collaborated by a team at Kobe University in Japan, which has furthered the Finnish researchers' theory: "New evidence suggests that high-energy particles from space known as galactic cosmic rays affect the Earth's climate by increasing cloud cover, causing an 'umbrella effect'," the just published study has found, a summary of which has been released in the journal Science Daily. The findings are hugely significant given this 'umbrella effect' — an entirely natural occurrence — could be the prime driver of climate warming, and not man-made factors.
