TTKSpectre: It might be helpful to say that we are all immortal. Einstein said time is a dimension. I think it was Acquinas that said something of the sort long ago, when he pointed out God exists outside time. We do not die in the sense of not existing anywhere in space-time. We go through life with blinders on, unable to see the future or the past clearly and never a hint of the sides and each instant is forever--sometimes sadly.
Don't bring up God or religion unless you know the dying person will be receptive to it. I, for one, wouldn't, and I'd be royally pissed off if someone decided to shove religion at me on my deathbed.------ This thread is Archived ------

Believe me if they were in pain i wud tell them to go....its fantatstic in the essence of spirit..Ill be running to d god damn bright white light....Ill even take my heels off and run towards it.....sure wen we walk to the graveyard they walk with us...

I was in my early late twenties when my mother passed away while in her sleep.Nothing I could do to help her or say to comfort her all I could do but stand there next to her bed up until the second she passed on.It was such a helpless feeling. I've never forgotten that day.

One of our friends from this village was living her last few days in a hospice in the UK near her family.
I was on my way to visit my son and on the way stopped to visit her. With me I brought a recording we created one evening when we all gathered for that purpose. The musicians played for her and everyone recorded a goodbye message for her.
I handed over the recording to her and arranged for a laptop to be able to downdload it and listen to everyone's loving messages. I gave her the hugs in everyone's name.
I was able to visit one more time before returning to Spain. What I said to her I don't remember.... Presence...

When my mother passed away there was nothing I could do nor say cause she was unconscious,so all I could do was just stand by her hospital bed until I heard the alarm on the breathing machine chime.I felt so helpless just standing there.I still think about that day,
