This is a free site, that has forums, blogs, games, groups, articles etc..
If picless, bothers you, just ignore them, and focus on scammers or try a pay site

Still no real way to fully verify that any picture is correct. I've still chatted here there a little with people that don't have photos. It's not all bad by a long shot.
For the extreme few that I have actually met from online(literally about a few in 10 years or so), only one had photos that weren't even close. The rest were close enough since a picture doesn't age or change with the person.
Besides, a photo doesn't teach or show anything about the actual life and person. That can only be learned in real life and in person. It's primarily eye candy.

I must confess my pic is a little dated. I have a lot more grey now in my beard and hair.

Just because a person has a picture, doesn't tell what year it was taken....( how old the picture is ) 
That is true rent, so some pictures not accurate

A somewhat naive attitude ... Pics that have been copied from sites like this ( very easy to do BTW ) are often used by scammers to lull individuals ( such as yourself ) into a false sense of security.
The presence or absence of a pic on a 'public site' has absolutely no bearing on the authenticity of the member - from my own experience scammers are more likely to use stolen pics than no pic.
But you CAN get that sort of service from dating sites if you want it - just gonna cost you lot$ of $$$$
But, I'd be interested to hear how you think CS could achieve the criteria suggested ...
