Happygolucky4u: It does seem like you have had a dickens of a time getting it back together. I have learned with me the best way to get something done like that in a timely fashion is to bring it in the house and do it. I am laughing but this has worked for me in the past. Messy "yes" inconvient "yes", and that is the motivation to get er done
You are right. Bringing the bike in the house made me do everything as best as possible and I did get the oil tank on and the hard part done there. I have one more operation to preform and that is venting the primary chaincase cause it has no provisions for that. But it will . No the forks are not done yet and my new expected completion date is another week away. I have done well keeping the messy from hiting my livingroom carpet

Oh lordy I have not had carpet in years. Between pets and grands and crazy co workers I like to be able to clean up spills. Back in the seventies we took an old pan head apart in my house. I remember having a board going across the johnny and parts on it to dry when I had company. They had to go when they seen that the look on their faces was hilarious. Haven't had anything like that in years indoor. Tho I considered my boat recently. It will fit in my Florida room

Sounds almost like you live here some snow, mixed with rain..
that is our whole winter. Except our warm can be quite hot. High eighties a few times already. Very little cold. No snow. Don't snow here. Little rain and some mean wind. All on the same day. Never know how to dress to leave the house

You have a Boat
Well I came up with a nice vent for the bikes chaincase and that operation was a complete success.
The bike is technically ready to fire up except the oil won't be here till Thursday which gives me time to do a little welding and go though the front forks. So I'm done updating my progress I'm pretty much done and my body has had enough playing Rug Rat.
