I saw a woman get on to the bus a couple of days ago wearing a shield and I did wonder about it's efficacy. They seem to give protection to the eyes and forehead, but being open on three sides as they are, very little with respect to the nose and mouth.
I can see why they may be more comfortable to wear all day in work and certainly they are better for those of us who are deaf old gits who rely on lip-reading, but I didn't know they had been deemed unsafe for use alone.
As an after thought, they might be at least some protection for those who don't wear masks on medical grounds.

I don't wear either the muzzle or the visor and not done...since the lockdown
i was just thinking about the carbon dioxide people are breathing in...while wearing the muzzle...about the damage wearing muzzles...do to the heart and lungs...the face rashes...mouth infections...teeth rot and based on no evidence...that wearing masks protect from viruses...
I was also thinking about deaf people...being unable to understand...the muzzle wearers..cause they obviously rely on lip reading...so unless people know sign language...deaf people will feel alienated and alone

well thanks for noticing we`re talking here about the World Health Organisation- a Organization that has 2000 employees-of which 50 are actual medical workers I'm sure they could at least falsify one autopsy

Explain why Japan has worn masks for years and everyones faces are not rotted off? I have tried to avoid colds and flues for years. I wear gloves in stores all winter. I am glad to be able to wear masks without people looking at me like I am a weirdo. Any little bit helps.
94% of people over 70 won't die of covid. So what? I hate colds. People have this mind set that "oh, it's only a cold...only the flu..be over it in a couple weeks." They dont want to waste the sick day being sick...so go to work anyway and take the day off to play. Everyone they get close to then catch it. Like those who dont get sick days and if they stay home, lose pay.
I don't want a cold nor flu. I don't want to blow my nose off, throw up, sit in the can over and over and feel like a tank drove over me. Not for a day, not for two weeks. It is NOT fun!
Think about the risks with covid. Long haulers sick for weeks and months. The risk to permanent damage to brain, heart or organs. Think about sitting in the hospital for days , weeks or months. Who earns your paycheck for you? Who feeds your pet, cares for your kids, tends to chores?
You think social distancing and isolation is bad..go crawl in bed and stay there for a week. Pee in a bottle or bed pan. Hope there is someone to bring you food and clean up after you. You have the choice..better hope you get to keep it.
