Not much of a judgment or assessment of character if the member is insane always thumbing you down out of date. I don't use it... a few of my enemies do and actually follow me around in every thread which is pretty obvious. Enjoy your day.------ This thread is Archived ------

I thought a thumbs up or down would indicate your feelings on what's being said, not the user. I may not necessarily like what is being said but someone has already said what I was going to so...... thumbs down.

When the site first introduced the thumbs thing it was more obvious, red and blue thumbs I think, rather than these pale ones you can barely see.Same with thumbs up. I like what was being said..........

Well, Thumb War III broke out. It was emotional carnage and very, very personal.
And it was fairly easy to click on a thumb by accident with no 'confirm action' stage, so people had to PM left, right and centre apologising to each other for accidental and unwarranted thumbs downses.
The site removed the facility pdq. I have no idea why they brought it back.
It's like leaving open tins of masonry paint in an unsupervised kindergarten.

Nope, I don't notice that someone has given either. I've given thumbs down to something I disagreed with and I've also given thumbs up to something I agreed with.It's the opinion I'm either agreeing or disagreeing to, not the person.

Thumbs up or down, i don’t mind. I would value their feedback. And glad that they probably did read what I said, So any feedback is a positive feedback. More the merrier, even if it is thumbs down!
Someone giving thumps down just to be spiteful, then well that person has underlying issues. This is linked a stab in the back.
I personally would give a thumbs up but never a thumbs down.
