I like a man to take the lead as in asking me out planning a date surprises that kind of thing
Controlling is totally different than taking the lead well in my eyes anyway.
It’s not really . Taking the lead could also mean making difficult decisions, which may sound controlling, but does it for the best interest . Controlling in a psychological sense , is a different story .
One2note: It’s a fine line between taking control of a relationship & controlling it . If a man say for example, surprises his partner with a dinner date , is that controlling, or a gesture . Maybe women prefer chimps who hide behind the woman
Still pretending you don't the difference between organising a surprise for your partner and "taking the lead in the relationship" ...
Organising a surprise for your partner is neither "taking the lead in the relationship" anymore than it is "taking control" of it ...
There is no difference between taking control of a relationship and controlling it... any sub stories you'd like to tell yourself to the contrary are delusions ...
A man who'd like to share the decisions of the relationship and home with his partner is neither a chimp nor being controlled. It denotes of a maturity of someone who considers his partner an equal ...
I've noticed, it's like the scene from "The Quiet Man" where the old lady says to big John "Here's a nice stick to beat the lady with" only in reverse..

Excuse me? You want to "make difficult decisions" that concern the couple by yourself? How can it be for its best interest if the interest of the partner is not represented by being a joint decision? And you don't think that's controlling?
Controlling is when one person in the relationship treats the other in a way that undermines them Like , taking their independence, making them dependent on them. Taking away their credit cards, phones, car keys, just to give a few examples, the list is long That's a bit different from booking a night out for dinner

You're welcome!
Some women don’t like to take responsibility for any decisions, as do a lot of men . You can’t talk for every women because your ideology doesn’t coincide with other women’s
