Tanzila: Thank you for that link.. Sure.. I will take a look at it.. Hope it will be helpful in my case..
There's quite a lot of similar info on other sites also, that was just one link of many i could have posted. It seems anxiety surrounding the virus and lockdown is pretty widespread.

It feels like you're all coming into my world. And its not good. Habitually reading what the soldiers rations at the battle of Stalingrad were reduced to as proof that there's always someone in a worse situation than you.

Many people suffering from anxiety and depression reported feeling better when the lockdown was first introduced. It seemed from the many phone in's on the radio, the 'welcome to my world' effect eased many peoples symptoms. Also the perceived need to be involved, take part, enjoy life was taken away. Many depression sufferers reported good feelings and a sense of relief during the lockdown situation.

But who knows. All will come right when you could share a group therapy session with people from Africa or Palestine without hypocrisy. He who calls the whole world brother with sincerity.

I have shared therapy sessions with people from many nations, it seems there is a common factor in the emotions experienced, it certainly teaches tolerance of different cultures.

Disclaimer— the following is not intended to be “ medical advice”:

When that “aura” of anxiety rears, slowly go and do a few simple, relatively normal tasks, such as washing a few dirty dishes by hand, taking the wash to the machine, heat some water and make chamomile or other herb tea...purposefully relax. This seems to be very helpful for some people.teddybear

I hope that helps some people, I need other people's input. Don't go into denial, it will come out worse later

Since at least the early 2000’s, anxiety is on the rise. Slow down, world...I’m completely confident in saying this, cat, these problems are caused by people going too fast. Period. Haste makes waste. Be patient-or be one. If you’re in a hurry, you’re doing it wrong. Measure twice, cut once. Triple- check that medication BEFORE you dispense it. Read the whole document before you date and sign it. Look both ways. It’s all back to slowing down. For real.

You of all people should know the danger of denial, up to you though, no rules here.

Where is the denial here? You are not making sense. Do you mean that ( some) anxiety sufferers need chemical adjustment/medication? Sure, that’s true. Please explain, however, why you said what you did— thanks.

So, are you saying that you want other people’s input, but if it isn’t exactly how you think, they’re in denial? Why ask for input if you’ve already decided? It’s like you’re saying, “ Please tell me what you think, so I can tell you you’re wrong..” Has it occurred to you that maybe YOU are in denial, instead? Does that sound nice? Get it?

It was unclear where your meaning was going...but thanks for clarifying. So, tell me about the value of therapy/ talking with other human beings...I agree this is healing, or at least steps in the right direction, so certainly not in denial here. How about washing a few dirty dishes while talking with a trusted friend while boiling water for chamomile tea? Sounds like a winner to me—-what’s that Streisand song—“People who need people are the luckiest people...” since you said I could talk to you— let me tell you how I feel about something— you seem to get after me when you don’t need to be getting after me— we are on the same page much of the time. You are confusing me at times...I don’t get it.

Your anxiety could be down to this new fake "I'm a nice guy" persona clashing with your true self. And has manifested into anxiety. Like a cancer, eating away at you. The evil you trying to take back control

secretagent09: I am suffering from immense fear that my son in law will die from the cancer that he is now being treated for. He is getting chemo treatments but if the chemo doesn't shrink the cancer enough away from the bone they will not be able to perform the second surgery. If they can do the surgery they will cut away any cancer cells that are left but he might lose an eye, part of his pallet and his front teeth. My daughter, his family and I live in fear that we will lose the man in our family who we all love very much.
So very sorry to hear this, Cancer wrecks so many lives, yet all that's on anyone lips is Corona.
I wish him all the best of good luck with his treatment hug
