bodleing2: Just had a positive result from a covid test, so the weeklong retreat I'd booked at a Buddhist centre in the Lake District is not going to happen. Ten days self isolation instead.

Sorry to hear this, take care hope you are be soon,,
bodleing2: Yes that was how I felt but the sore throat is unlike any sore throat I've had before. That seems to be easing off now though.
Seems the same, a dry throat too, there aren't any different remedies, so a big spliff (No tobacco) and a hot Drambui for me, see how that works.. I'll grab a test too to be sure..

So sorry you're not well and you're missing your Buddhist retreat. Echinacea capsules are really good for colds and boosting the immune system and Quercetin or Mega Quercetin is really good for helping recover from civid. They can both also be taken as a preventative ... (might have just made up that word)
I was holding my breath whilst waiting for the antigenic test result at the clinic, the evening before my flight was due so I could visit my Mum for Christmas. Such a relief it was negative and I could fly.

Get well, how ever if you are in isolation you should not go out even to the store. Have someone else put it outside your door. See the positive thing of it all, you will now become immun and don't have to worrie about it anymore.

What are you going to a Buddhist centre during a Christian celebration? That aside , you have the same symptoms as my friend & he’s had all 3 jabs . I’m sure you’ll both recover in a few days & have natural immunity. No need for infective vaccines .
