The one where your body resides.

BB_snickers: The one where your body resides.
That doesn't mean anything. Can you give me a proper answer?

Circlip: I still can't get used to "Circlip", and how ridiculous it sounds. If I'd known I was going to be here for this long I would have put more thought into choosing a name.
Ah ok...well sure if you don't like it then just tell us what us what you'd rather be called and we can go with that so..

How does that sound?

BB_snickers: The inexhaustible wisdom of negativity.

Everything ... yes everything, is in your mind, no where else. The accolades that you think you need in order to feel appreciated are there, the rewards for making an effort are all in you. That is your responsibility.
There's a reason it is called self esteem. Other esteem is called codependency which generally leads to dissatisfaction or worse when others don't prop us up.

you're not a puppy
Well that's the joy been sucked out of the joy I felt today..

You american's..why do ye always have to bring everything to the extreme..doh

self esteem is knowing you're ok

Needing others to appreciate you is a very different thing..it's actually imprinted in our DNA..so we will work together, and give of ourselves for the benefit of others/the greater good so the community will stay strong..remove that need for appreciation and society wll fall appart....oh...hang on...society is falling apart....I wonder why....doh

BB_snickers: what is it that you don't understand.
You talk in generalities, as if the truth of them is self evident, and needs no explanation. Things like "sending love out into the universe", and "self is just an illusion". It's just a stream of mantras with nothing to substantiate them. I mean, just pick out one of these ideas and make a rational case for accepting it as some kind of truth.

Schadenfreude is closely related to this topic, although a more appropriate term would be “Oppositional Defiant Disorder”. In either case, the provoker gets an inordinate “bang” at seeing another in anguish.

Thank you, and if it's any consolation, I didn't enjoy it. I know its against your principles, but I would urge you to allow yourself a few, or even many, negative thoughts about me. smile

But that doesn't make it alright. It's no good my just admitting it and then carrying on as usual. I need to learn my lesson and start behaving responsibly. I'm not going to put up with it any longer, something needs to be done about it now! very mad

No, a small pack of circlips that I ordered from Amazon just happened to arrive while I was trying to think of a user name to create my account with. I wish there were more to it than that, but there ain't. sigh
