As I'm unable to "quote" it all. I'll just respond to your comment. "No" no one "physically" makes anyone starve themselves but when you have young girls from the young age of 8ys and upwards, watching their "idols" on TV, especially their video's which obviously aren't real life, just filmed in various stages. These youngsters and teenagers don't realise that their Idols are just putting on a "show" They're all "done up" video's put together to make it all look wonderful. These kids don't know any better and just want to look like their "Idols"There was a study not long ago regarding 8yr old girls. They were shown 4 outline drawings of women. Going from the thinnest "very" thin to the biggest. Every one of those 8yr old girls picked out Number 1, the thinnest. When asked why? They said that all the others were fat. These were 8yr old girls. This is happening more frequently with boys and men because of the Media. Unless you've actually encountered this personally, then you wouldn't know would you?

However, my words and my accusations were quite harsh and I apolosise. Mostly because I could have phrased what I wanted to say with a focus on the content of what was being said rather that the people saying it.
Here in Spain they have a TV in every bar and I have, on serveral occasions, caught bits of 'chat shows' which consist of pulling apart the 'wardrobe' of such or such a celebrity and what was or wasn't flattering for her figure. All done in the most condescending manner and as if they are providing the public with the most essential service
So between the anorexic people I know and have known and that kind of program when I read the comments on this threads it totally triggered me ...
I've never seen those progammes to be honest as I never used to watch Spanish TV. However I found that the people in Spain could go out in whatever they wanted to wear. Whether it be a 70yr old in shorts because of the heat etc. Skinny or a bigger person, no one bat an eyelid. No one bat an eyelid on the Nudist beaches either. You haven't missed much from the few glimpses I caught of them!! Yes being an anonymous wearer of whatever one wants always works well in Spain. Plenty of practice with all the tourists about
Just don't be a celebrity and wear the "wrong" shade of green or diagonal stripes on your dress or you'll get ridiculed on TV. Ohhhh and don't go "dumping" your boyfriend for the "wrong" reason either!!!

Sleeve tattoos are very popular at the moment. I have 3 very small colourful tattoos that I had done over 20yrs ago which can be covered up easily. Especially with this Uk weather I had intimate piercings too. They can be eradicated though. I still have my little nose piercing, not a bloody nose ring at my age I don't like massive tattoos on men but that's my choice but I wouldn't "condemn" them if they did. It's each other's individual choice.That's life
