We are having too many children especially getting shot and it is senseless acts of violence. We are not able to attract Police Officers here to fill these needed positions to protect our City. Has there been some kind of National program or a Community wide program developed that would be helpful in getting a grip on this?

What.... ? Maybe we could start with removing all nonfeasance and all liberal DAs and enforcing laws again instead of trying to develop new bureaucracies and larger government which no one wants and can afford.

HOW DARE YOU, suggest enforcing laws and having better people of character that would actually, justly, carry it out.

crime rates wouldn't be so bad if that were ever the case under demonrat control. just don't ever expect any on their supporters to accept and admit the truth.

it's always some thing elses' fault but never the lack of character and enforcement.

Some people to scared to talk about crime happening in there neighborhoods especially when the police say your name, or tell who told them, cause they don’t want them coming after them, that might help if they tell who doing crimes, peoples not trying to get involved
police is layed back as usual until something happens
I don’t think even getting a program together gone help
therefore guns is in the wrong hands

Crime prevention is an active participation event. Each of us can and should be aware of how to protect ourselves; our family and our property. To think that the police; or increasing the number of police is the answer; is a mistake. Police are not trained to prevent crime from happening.

The police are trained to manage the crime once it occurs. Movements by city law enforcement to hire social intervention specialist to intervene in homeless encampments; domestic assault disputes; and non-violent crimes like parking and traffic violations, will improve the police contact that leads to abuse.

Change is the only we will combat innocent people from being injured and killed by police. Police have a critical place in our society - we simply need to recognize and rearrange that place.

It might seem complicated to make change, but if we seriously want to 'protect and serve', the change will need to happen.

apparently you've left out the "defund the police" movement which has taken hold in some of the worst cities. or the prosecutors and judges that go lighter on the crimes to maybe not even bother with them.

it has cost many officers to just quit, crime so rampant that in some areas, businesses are closing shop. some of those are big enough to relocate, many are not. it's not just the crime rates. economic damages are occurring to match. those little groups you mention are proving worthless.

a law abiding citizen is more likely to face charges for interfering or trying to help than the criminal. how much more backwards can things be? things are not in favor of the people any more. chaos reigns, continues to grow, while the people continue to pay for it all in more ways than one.

the people can do almost nothing short of violent area wars to take their cities and neighborhoods back. then be prosecuted for it later. if the laws aren't enforced, the people are screwed before they can begin.

punishment needs to fit the crimes. that isn't happening by a long shot.

Well, the DragQueen brings nothing to the party and spits on the crowd when he leaves.
Please, please, please offer a solution to the question that was posed - instead of throwing fireballs at the audience. The great and mighty dragon - oh knower and seer of all; who comes to grace his prescence upoin us without a word of wisdome - yet feels free to fart and leave his mark on the floor. Such a pity: waste has its purpose.

the first part of a solution would be to NOT vote demonrat. since ferguson under obozo, they keep making things worse. especially when they're more worried about power and control instead of who and what they were voted to actually represent.

the second part is a no brainer. they should have enforced laws all along. now things are so out of control, no telling what it would take. prisons would certainly be over flowing but at least the people would have a better foot hold and support to be more involved.

why would the Cops risk their life when the corrupt dept of injustice won't even prosecute the people the officers arrest?
The stupid liberals and progressives who are doing this (at the highest levels) need to be kicked out. Until then, nothing will change.
In the mean time, I keep my weapon at home & loaded in case I need it.
If someone tries to rob my home it will be the last thing they will ever try to do.

Right - the Drag Queen ahs a good solution. Enforce the laws. Especially when those who commit the crimes are the elected leaders of the Republican Party, Let's enforce those fraud; conspiracy and attempted coup charges. I agree with Drag Queen - if the crooks are behind bars....no more crimes. Let's get back to a tougher and meaner America - Make America less Republican!

pretty much explains why they don't enforce laws in those demonrat run places more than others.
they expect all that corruption to keep voting for the corrupt and lawless to keep power. their pockets can stay lined at the expense of tax payers plus other outside sources. blood money in more ways than one.

We should pass stricter gun laws but Republicans don't want to do that as the NRA supports them getting reelected. The more guns sold the more money appropriated for their reelection. Getting these guns out of the hands of abusers and mentally unstable. Selling assault weapons and high capacity magazines should never be allowed. Military use only.--Paying Republicans for being in the House and Senate is a waste of money as they are not working for the 98 percent of us. Vote them out like they have voted against us many times
