Tomorrow is my final night in Afghanistan and I have been invited to join some friends of mine (all soldiers) for dinner in their chow hall at ISAF (International Securtiy Afghanistan Forces). I have read all of the threads where people are posting their words of gratitude for the men and women who are serving now or have served in the past. I would be happy to print your messages and hand-deliver them to the troops serving in my area. I can give them to a general I know (one of the nicest and most admirable men I have ever known) and I'm sure he will see that they get distributed or, at least, can be posted somewhere for wide viewership. Either post here or to any of the other threads and I will take your well-wishes with me tomorrow evening. Of course, any personal messages between posters will not be included; only the messages meant for the troops.

Tell them to get as much rest as possible, keep thier heads down, clean their weapons and make sure the Minimi's are always loaded and make sure The GPM's always have plenty of ammo available.
Hopefully there training and professionalism will bring them home to their loved ones.
And tell the Guy with the remmington 900 or barrat .50 or accuracy international to get some oakley sunglasses...i know what the view looks like from where he's laying.
I respect them all, best wishes to them all and their families.
I don't know if you will be seeing any of the Canadian guys or not but my roomies son is somewhere over there, the Royal Van Doos, and would like to send on warms wishes and many hugs to him,his troops and all the men and women who are away from their loved ones. Thank you for caring
There are some Canadian troops at ISAF (along with British, Italian, German, Spanish, Greek, Bulgarian, Macedonian, and others). I will see if I can give your message to one of the Canadian soldiers. I'll do my best, anyway.
Don't think for one minute that we don't all think of you and support you whilst you are far from your loved ones. You are doing a commendable and admirable job and one that many of us would not be prepared to do!
We hope you take comfort in knowing that you are not forgotten and hoping that with each day its a day nearer to you all going home to your nearest and dearest.........
Go/come home safe and well, boys and girls. Hugs to each and every one of you!!

I want to Thank all of the men and women who are serving there countries and our world. I also want to thank their wives/ husbands, children, mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters because they too sacrifice everyday that thet can't be with their loved one. We are honored by you all~ Thank You
All I can say is as a veteran myself I know how hard it is to be away from family and friends, and that all of our troops, and there families are in my thoughts and prayers every day!!
First and foremost, I know how hard it must be to be away from friends and family, especially at this time of year. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your service, dedication, perserverance, and sacrifice. It takes a person of true character and courage to be able to stand up for what you believe in. Thank you for making this sacrifice so that we may be safe and that our children can grow up in a world that is safe. Words could never say how very proud I am of each and every one of you!
