Once a month,I volunteer in a church for seniors citizens for a monthly meal.I set the tables,serve meals,and clean up afterwards.

I am involved in a non-profit organization called Eternal Hope Foundation that focuses on women and children in abusive situations. It's very rewarding;) Especially this time of year!

yeah, every year i go to rio de janerio and work in a street kids orphanage, and do general maintenance, stuff like that, i like it, i spend 2 weeks of my own leave there.

I belong to an organization that raises money for it's burn centers and orthopaedic hospitals. The children who recieve care there get the care they need for free. And we take care of widows and orphans, toohandshake hug

Yes, a group of us from my work, volunteered to restore people's lands after the Missouri Valley flood.

We called all of the local area businesses to donate anything they could, loaded up two full size trailers full of plants, sod, bushes, and trees.

Since the housing was already being taken care of, we went around to each house that had their land completely destroyed and sodded and planted flowers, trees, and bushes for the landowners.

It was in July and in the hundreds, but so many people just were in tears when they saw their yards when we were done. Made the fact that we were filthy, stinky, and sweaty well worth the hours we spent up there.

I did Suicide Intervention in SA, a few hours a week .... very sad when people feel they at the end and can`t take anymore of life. Although an international organisation, I cant do it here in CH because I not fluent enough in the local language, one needs to be able to pick up intonations in voices.

I help out voluntarily in the classroom of a local school. It's good fun, especially when we're doing things for Christmas or going out on a class trip.

Hey Gilly.

Well, this was in July of this year. Missouri Valley is actually in Iowa and its about 40 minutes from Omaha.

We had a large group of volunteers. 9 houses that needed to be redone. We were there for just over 8 hours. The guys did the sodding, which wasn't hard since we just had dirt/mud mainly to work on, and they got the trees in. Us girls, planted all the flowers & bushes and watered everything when we were done before meeting the guys at the next house.
